Hello, I'm Jayine Nguyen!
I'm a Multimedia Designer passionate about bringing ideas to life through my specialties in graphic design, motion graphics, and 3D modeling. I also have a versatile skill set in branding, typography, illustration, animation, web design, UX/UI design, art direction, photography, and video editing.
I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, moved to Houston, TX in middle school, and later studied at Integrated Design & Media with a minor in Korean at New York University. Growing up across different cultures and immersing myself in global pop culture & media in my free time has shaped both my worldview and design practice. My passion for design, combined with my love for cultural exploration, inspired me to craft designs that are dynamic, meaningful, and inclusive for diverse audiences.
When I'm not designing, you can find me hanging out with friends to explore yummy food and snack places, add cute blind boxes and plushies to my collection, and visit local community events; or staying at home to try out new recipes, curl up in my bed with asian dramas & comics, and play video games.
Fun fact: I recently adopted two male kitties from the same litter 3 months ago. The black kitty is named Shoyu, meaning "soy sauce" in Japanese. The white kitty with black spots is named Gomu, and his name is more complicated — it is a combination of Goma ("sesame" in Japanese because I love both white and black sesame) + Moomoo (because he looks like a cow). Together, it accidentally becomes Gomu ("rubber" in Japanese, which is also the name of Luffy's power from my favorite manga One Piece).
