I'm Jayine. I was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; raised in Vietnam and Houston, Texas; and currently living in New York City to pursue my B.S. in Integrated Design and Media at New York University.
Growing up in Vietnam, I hated calligraphy because fountain pens made me have a huge writer's callus and the ink was very difficult to control. But I discovered my love for calligraphy when I realized how beautiful it can be in 8th grade (character development!). However, after finding out that not a lot of my friends in America can read calligraphy, I tailored my handwriting to make it more readable but still have a lot of personality. Now, I have a growing passion for typography and I aspire to be a graphic designer.
